Strawberry Fields Forever - Nothing is real

The buck stops?!?!?

He may try to weasel out of it and may not follow through on actually doing anything to make things better in the future, but... he claimed on Tuesday, September 13, 2005 that he does take responsibility for the problems with the federal response to Katrina.

I had hypothesized to myself in the last week or two that if President Bush actually accepted responsibility for the governmental response to Hurricane Katrina, that it would so astound liberals like myself that we would be shocked into silence for at least a short time, and um.

Oh, and Hilary cliton is actually a witch who will be burned at the stake by Bill Clinton who is actually the Pope.

  • Hey Jim, it's Carol. I found you out in cyber land!

Well yeah he took responsiblity but I am sure his folks said you do or
the GOP will suffer. IT didn't ring sincere to me. But yes, better than nothing.

  • Taj Genie, the blog that was posted just prior to the one you commented on (which is here, and Time and Newsweek (amongst countless others) published some very well researched reports in the week or two after the hurricane hit on all of the foul ups. As for "Day After Tomorrow": that film even when released was seen as a joke. Taking that as representative of the views of scientists who argue that global warming is real is like saying that Michael Savage is representative of all conservatives. Still, just in case, I always am ready to run in fear from the ocean just in case it decides to freeze over me on a seconds' notice ;) (which is part of why I haven't been to the beach in ages despite living within 1 km of the ocean)

Anonymous: as for us joining Canada, it's the revenge of the war of 1812. We invaded them then (or rather a few drunken idiots on the border did), so it's their turn to invade us. (no, I am NOT seriously advocating an invasion, even a Canadian one)

Carol: It's wonderful to hear from you! It didn't/doesn't ring sincere to me, but I'm still in shock that such a condition exists when he'd make any form of apology, no matter how insincere it may sound and how conditional it may be. How are you? How are things at the good 'ol SPC?
